Saint Helena is a relatively unknown and remote island. The island is predominantly mountainous and for a long time was only accessible by boat. Since 2016, Saint Helena has also been accessible by plane due to the construction of an international airport. This is to promote tourism. The coastline of Saint Helena consists of rock formations, sandy beaches, clear blue water and lots of vegetation. The waters around Saint Helena have many colorful coral reefs and are therefore ideal for diving and snorkeling. The capital Jamestown is sandwiched between two mountains.
