Papua New Guinea is known for its diversity. There are a thousand different groups, each with their own traditions and clothing. The people are friendly and hospitable. There are approximately 250 species of small mammals and no less than 12,000 different plant species. In addition, there are approximately 6,000 different species of butterflies. The country also has a coastline with sandy beaches where you can practice various water sports. You can also dive to beautiful coral reefs and several shipwrecks.
